How we make money
You should know who pays for the site you are relying on. We earn from two things: printable planning kits that you buy, and partner links that are labeled as such. We do not run ads.
The short version
- Our main product is our own planning kits, including the Simple Will Maker.
- Some links are labeled "Partner". If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
- We show no advertising and set no ad cookies.
- Partners never pay for coverage and never influence what we recommend.
Planning kits
We make printable and fillable workbooks and planners for arranging a funeral, settling an estate, claiming veterans' benefits and getting your own affairs in order. They are sold directly by us in the shop, with a 30-day full refund. The guides and free tools stay free to read and use.
Because we sell these, our guides sometimes point to a kit where it would save you time. We say so when we do, and you never need to buy one to follow a guide.
Partner links
Some guides include links to other companies' products or services, such as tools for estate planning or insurance comparison. When we include one:
- It is labeled "Partner" so you can tell it apart from our own content.
- It goes through a /go/ address on our site, which lets us change the destination without editing every guide.
- It is marked rel="sponsored", the way search engines ask paid and affiliate links to be marked.
- We may earn a commission if you buy or sign up. It does not change the price you pay.
Once you click through, you are on the partner's site. It may set its own cookies and follows its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Read more in our privacy policy.
No advertising
We have removed Google AdSense and all ad cookies. You will not see banner or display ads here, and no advertiser can pay to appear in a guide. The site uses cookie-free analytics to see which pages are useful.
Editorial independence
- Partners do not pay for coverage. A company cannot buy a mention, a ranking or a favorable comparison.
- Partners do not influence our recommendations. We recommend what we think is useful to the reader in front of us, and we say plainly when a free option, or no purchase at all, is the better choice.
- Facts and costs come from cited sources such as federal agencies, state law and industry surveys, not from partners. Every guide shows the date it was last checked. See our editorial standards.
- If a commission could plausibly affect how we describe something, we tell you at the point of the link.
What this means for you
Partner products are run by other companies. We are not responsible for them, and a link on our site is not advice that a product is right for you. Compare options and read the terms before you commit. For legal, tax or financial decisions about your own situation, talk to a qualified professional.
Questions or concerns
If a link looks unlabeled, or you think a recommendation has been influenced by money, tell us at support@endoflifetools.com. For factual errors, write to corrections@endoflifetools.com.
